friends of northern arizona forests

Dave Downes , Aspen Team coordinator, has taken very careful steps to observe the Forest Service's guidelines regarding the Covid-19 pandemic to minimize risks for volunteers as outlined by Dave below:

We will avoid any projects that require ladders so no new aspen exclosure work.  Social distancing will be a firm requirement and we will ask each volunteer to remind others if he or she is concerned that another team member is getting too close.  Masks will be encouraged and required for certain actions.  We will not be using Forest Service vehicles so team members will be required to drive to the work site and this will be a consideration for our selection of sites.

To make up for lost time and the completion of projects planned for early summer prior to Covid-19 restrictions, the Aspen Team is now doing two outings a week. Below is a list of the outings currently planned.

You will notice all are dates have "TBD" assigned to the work project.  Due to the fluidity of identifying acceptable sites and work needs at a site, Dave will announce via an email just prior to each date what the work and location will consist of.
